According to KHON2 News here in Hawaii, Obama has cost local taxpayers $341,217 in HPD (Honolulu Police Department) in over time to help the secret service keep President Obama safe. In essance the residents of Honolulu County paid not only via thier federal tax dollars but also via thier City taxes. This was an extravagant waste of money by the first family. As far as I can recollect, he’s “vacationed” in Hawaii on taxpayer dollars 3 seperate times so far while in office. While I can understand a vaction (everyone needs one), he should’ve selected a much less expensive location to take vacation in, or have a shortened stay.
In 2014, the president cost the Tax Payers in Honolulu $277,585, and in 2013 it cost $293,732. Being that the president is so “for the people” like the democratic party supposedly is, you would think that they would’ve granted remimbursement to the Honolulu tax payers… But the democrats did no such thing and turned thier backs on the people in Honolulu like they did to a loyal (she was a Democrat until no support from her chosen political party came) voter in kentucky when she was jailed for trying to uphold her religous values (which is a right granted by the Constitution of the United States) and do her job at the same time. Needless to say, she became a republican after that incident.
In a debate that I watched the other day, the democrats want to give away free healthcare, free higher education to everyone. While the thought behind of it is a good one, where is all the money for that coming from? Taxes will go up and new taxes will be created to fund all of these things that they want to do. And to top it all off, they say how Republicans don’t care about the people serving in the military when they want to do nothing for our veterans. They mentioned nothing about reforming the healthcare for our veterans or creating more programs to help them. Obama does nothing to stop the riots from happening in Musurri, and cares more about muslims than he cares about christians. He discriminates against christians, but sticks up for muslims.
Just the other day, I saw an article that the Democrat state legistature wanted to kill domestic stray cats to save an endangered goose. While yes, I understand trying to protect and preserve one of the few native birds left in Hawaii is very important (and I back the notion), and I believe that they should be saved, they shouldn’t kill cats. To coin a phrase many democrats echo “Everyone has the right to live”. The liberal democrats will do anything that’s easiest for them while disguising it’s actions as humanitarian when they’re doing no such thing. Speaking of humanitarian actions…
The homeless problem… Everyone’s screaming about it. Well, most liberals here are. Of course, the Democrats in charge here are always saying that they’re going to do something about it, but haven’t done a blimey thing. Oh, they constructed “affordable housing”. There’s two big problems with this idea that the Democrats have been pushing for years. The first problem is: “affordable” isn’t really affordable. Truely affordable housing is where a family making $25,000 or less a year can afford to make payments on. Not an apartment/condo/house that costs over $250,000. The second even more big of a problem is that most of them either don’t want to pay rent or don’t want to live in a house. They interviewed some on the local news, and some said just that. The canidate that did have an actual plan for the homeless was republican and not elected into office.
Democrats love to waste money and drag thier feet when doing things that they pushed for. The rail project here in Hawaii, another Democrat endorsed project is far behind schedule and way over budget in the millions of dollars. They gave excuses at first why they didn’t start on the rail when they got funds from the federal government. They finally got off thier butts and got into gear when the federal government threatened to ask for the money back. To be honest, the rail will only benifit one relatively small group of people living on the west side of the island. And that fixed rail and the rail stations will make the island ugly. As they put up the columns now you can see just that. The very people that voted in favor of the rail now complains about all the traffic and the inconvience of the detours that the rail construction is causing… *facepalm* And to top it all off, the people the rail is primarily for won’t even ride the rail. Because everyone knows the old addage: “Mass transit is a wonderful thing. Everyone should ride it but me”.
You know, the funny thing is that Governor Ige said after getting elected: “The Democrat party is the future of America”. Just from looking at all the things that they’ve done in Hawaii, and all the things that they did that was half-assed that ultimately backfired, you can see that this is actually wrong. After being in charge for decades in Hawaii, the poor is still poor, and the rich are still rich. Go figure.
