I know the Chiefs Kingdom isn’t happy about this. I for one am not phased about the decision made by Clark Hunt. I fully support the decision made by Mr. Hunt. Why? In this article, I will outline why.
Dorsey did a real number with managing the cap. Lots of dead money. This money could have been used to retain Poe or even Maclin. While I’ve said in previous posts that the Chiefs will be fine without him, and I still believe so, the Chiefs could have retained him if they had the cap space. This terrible mismanagement of the cap will make things hard for the Chiefs this season and possibly next.
Houston, Berry, Poe, Maclin. All up for contract renewal this season. The Chiefs managed to retain only Houston and Berry (the two most important in my opinion). There was a long lag in getting both Houston and Berry signed to new contracts,. Which was the responsibility of Dorsey. That was an unnecessary risk. The Chiefs ran the risk of losing two very important players. Two players which in my opinion that they couldn’t afford to lose.
Coach Reid will be fine without Dorsey. He turned the Chiefs into winners from being losers. The Chiefs will be fine, they will still make the playoffs as usual. I just don’t guarantee a Super Bowl appearance although.
The Chiefs will be OK without Dorsey. They will find someone to replace him and it will be business as normal.
OK. So here’s my take on the Cosby trial. After some thought and some research, I feel that the whole thing was a witch hunt by a prosecutor looking to get reelected. Here in this post I’m going to talk about the things that I found out about the case and why I feel the way that I do. OK, let’s get this show on the road.
When they did speak of the “crime” they referenced Cosby’s testimony from a civil case that he testified at (which was settled and closed for an undisclosed amount in 2006). Now, this crime had happened orignally in 2004, and memories degrade and people forget. The victim didn’t report it until the year after it happened, so her recollection of what happened may have not been accurate either. Cosby’s recollection of events may have not been accorate for that matter either.
That was it for the evidence. Just testimony. No hard evidence. One witness, and testimony.
The time factor
Why did she wait so long to report the crime? Why did the prosecutor wait so long to reopen the investagation into Cosby? Simple there was no evidence. The case went cold for the Police. If there was this case would already be closed, and went to court. It would be history.
This whole case is a witch hunt by a prosecutor attempting to carry out on a campiengn promise so that he can get reelected. There is no evidence, even he knows that. But he wasted tax payer money, court time, and state resources to take the case to court anyway. Any attourney could see that this case wouldn’t hold water in court. The only reason why that it does hold in court is because of the political and social climate in today’s society.
Quite frankly, if I was on the jury, I would have never have voted to convict Cosby because there was no physical evidence, and the testimony provided of the actual crime was suspect itself because the memories wasn’t “fresh” so to speak. Moreover, it sounds like Democrat Control is needed in this case more than anything. The Prosecutor sounds corrupt like a Democrat.
Lucid Dream, a Korean crime drama set in Korea has all the elements that you would expect from a western crime drama. With a 21st century flavor to it. As the name implies, the film surrounds itself arround the lucid dream where you’re not fully awake, but still dreaming.
While many skeptics will still say you’re dreaming, that’s still a dream. Your mind is still sleeping. If you’re not awake you’re sleeping. There is no gray area, at least not to me, and many scientists, anyway. But, that’s for another post. Anyhow, this reporter has his child kidnapped and the case goes cold for three years, and he never gives up. In fact, he goes off and does his own investigating and finds out about lucid dreaming, and he finds out more clues. This is where the real meat and potatoes of the movie begins really.
I won’t spoil the movie for you, but it is available on Netflix. I loved the twist in the plot, but the ending was rather ‘storybook like’ and could have been better. The action scenes while few and far between were mediocre at best, but the storyline was very good. Overall, I give this movie on a scale 1 to 5 a 3, for a good try, and a definate watch if you’re bored because the story was good even though you have to read subtitles and the ending sucked.
The reason is quite simple. The Democrats here pissed off the Trump supporting NFL team owners. It’s no secret that there are quite a few of the owners are conservative that has donated to conservative causes in the past. Therefore, it shouldn’t be any surprise that there are NFL team owners that are Trump supporters as well.
Why can’t Democrats Think…
Never mind, rhetorical question. Democrats just don’t think ahead. Millions of tax revenue down the drain because all they want to do is fight President Trump. That money could be put to good use in the state. Going to stop before I start ranting.
Florida has bigger stadiums than Hawaii does. In the example above I have a picture of Tampa Bay (right) beside a picture of Aloha Stadium (left). You can clearly see the size difference. So, why would the NFL even bother to bring the Pro Bowl back? Bigger stadiums = more money. In fact, even if the NFL was to look at Hawaii, again Hawaii is looking at building a newer smaller stadium to replace the current stadium which makes no sense, so I just don’t see the NFL coming back even more so.
Yeah, it is less expensive to have the Pro Bowl on the Continental United States than have to fly all of the players, camera crews, coaching staff, etc. to Hawaii. Especially when the headquarters and the NFL studios are all probably situated in New York. Less money spent on overhead means more money in their pockets. That’s business 101. Highly doubtful Hawaii will ever see the Pro Bowl ever again. Lower overhead+Higher profits= Great Equation for the NFL.
I just don’t see the NFL ever coming back to Hawaii. Thank you Democrats. This is just another thing that you’ve managed to screw up for the state. Please step down before you screw up anything else more important for the state. You’ve done enough damage.
