Politics and the NFL

Sources at ESPN say that viewership of NFL games were down during the 2016 season due to Colin Kapernick’s protests during the National Anthem. Out of 9200 fans that were polled, 26% said that they stopped watching due to the national anthem protests. There were other reasons why but were smaller segments of those polled. By far, the protests or the fact that the games were becoming too political were the reasons why people stopped watching the game.
Personally, I’m a die-hard and loyal Chiefs fan, so I watched anyway. In fact, I even noticed that towards the middle and ending of the season, the cameras didn’t even show the players on the sidelines during the anthem because of the ongoing protests. This is one thing that I don’t get. Why can’t the NFL be like the MLB and just respect the flag and the country and stand for the National Anthem? These are American games… American pastimes. Why can’t everyone put thier differences aside just for the time of the game?

Why? It’s the Democrats they’re like dogs. Once they latch on to something, they just don’t want to let go. Enough is enough! The reason why the ratings dropped is because of the crap that Kaepernick started. I think that’s the major reason why no one wants to sign Kaepernick. That and they don’t want the public relations backlash as I’ve said in previous posts. They don’t want his baggage. His career in the NFL is over. Sorry Mr Pig Socks.

A challenge to the Democrats

business-challenge-businessman-navigating-maze-top-view-61699882

I call for ANY DEMOCRAT to answer ALL the questions in this post. If you can not, DO NOT complain when I post negative stuff about your party.

  • Why hasn’t your damned party done anything about the violence in Chicago and in New York?
  •  Why haven’t they done anything about the homeless problem in Hawaii?
  •  Why in heaven’s name haven’t they done anything about all the Veterans’ Administration problems that we were having when we were having when they had control in congress?
  • Why didn’t the Democrats strengthen Social Security when they had power in Congress if they were so for the people?
  • Tell me why didn’t Obama do anything about North Korea or the opioid Epidemic?
  • Why didn’t Obama do anything more about the war on drugs?
  • Why didn’t Obama give adequate credit to President Bush for the capture for Osama Bin Lauden when President Bush did all the work?
  • Why did Obama do nothing about the vetting problems when he KNEW that it was a problem?
  • Why did Obama do nothing about our insecure borders that he KNEW was a problem?
  • Why didn’t Obama do anything about the high risk countries known for terrorism when he was in office? He’s the one that made the list the President Trump used for the temporary travel ban.
  • Why didn’t Obama do anything about the failing relations with Russia and China?
  • Why haven’t they done anything about the lies told by CNN? It’s apparent that CNN supports them and only wants to make them look good.
  • Why are they calling for uprisings when they know it’ll cause more harm?
  • Why are they not doing anything about Hollywood and the rest of the mainstream media and the lies that they’re spreading?
  • Why aren’t they calling for unity?
  • If they’re so for the people why aren’t the helping to write legislature instead of fighting President Trump?
  • Why aren’t they more worried about America’s enemies instead of fighting President Trump whom is only trying to make America better and stronger?
  • Why bring socialism to America when our enemies are Socialist? (China, North Korea, and Russia wants to make progress back to socialism)
  • Why discriminate against the law and order in America?
  • Why push so hard for gun control when it’s the second amendment that stopped the Red Coats from winning the Revolutionary War, and it will hinder and possibly stop an invasion from another country if law abiding citizens are armed?
  • Why cut back further on defense spending when the state of things in the world is where it is?
  • Explain how defense spending equals defense for the United States in detail.
  • Explain how a higher minimum wage will actually help you live better in detail.
  • Explain how making the working class pay for your healthcare by making healthcare a right is morally correct.
  • Explain how making the working class pay for someone’s secondary education is morally correct.
  • Explain how making the working class pay for someone’s childcare is morally correct.
  • Explain and state where in the Constitution does it state that healthcare is a right.
  • Explain what socialism is, and how it works.
  • Explain why socialism is so good for America and it’s citizens.
  • Define what Nazi means exactly.
  • Explain why the Nazi party failed in detail.
  • Explain why the former Soviet Union failed in detail (and no it wasn’t just because the wall fell either).
  • Why blame both President Bush’s for all the country’s problems when most were caused by the Democrat Presidents?
  • Why hate Christians so much when it was Christians that founded this country? The founding fathers were all Christian.
  • Why do you think FOX is fake news when its not? Is it because they say things that you don’t like to hear?
  • Why stay in America if you hate Trump and America so much?

Living With Chronic Pain

Pain

Pain

By, A Friend On Facebook

Pain usually dictates what I can do each day. Can I take a shower? Make the bed? Cook a meal or do I resort to frozen dinners? Can I play with my grandchildren outside or do we do color and story time again? Can I go to the store or do I say “tomorrow” for the third day in row?

It isn’t a matter of mind over matter. No matter how much I want, I can’t force my legs to work or bear weight. I can’t stop the nausea from wracking my body or stop tears from my eyes. We see people doing amazing things despite illnesses. And that is awesome. Seriously. I am ecstatic for them.

But as great and celebrated as those stories are and should be, it doesn’t mean every person can do that. Not because want. Not because desire but because not every disease allows it. Not every body can support it.

It’s important for not only society but friends and family realize that us saying no to certain outings or saying hey I can’t go to the movies after the mall isn’t a cop out. It’s truth. It’s our reality. We have stronger awareness of our limitations.

What may leave you tired, may leave us exhausted. What leaves you needing a hot bath, leaves us in bed rest for days. What leaves you fatigued, can land us in the hospital.

Our never ending reality is one full of careful calculations and often times risk. Because we want that few hours of “normalcy” so we push and risk when we shouldn’t. Bear with us and be patient. We are doing the best we can.

———–

I thought that it was important to share this with everyone because not everyone understands what it’s like to live with chonic pain. I for one live with this condition myself, and want people to be aware of what it’s like for people whom experience this condition. Many just don’t understand what it’s like to wake up, go through out the day, and go to bed and try to sleep all while in pain.

A 232 year history of our fight against Islam

Just Say No To ISIS

Just Say No To ISIS!

232 Year History of our fight against Islam & why it is no longer taught in our public schools…

When Thomas Jefferson saw there was no negotiating with Muslims, he formed what is now the Marines (sea going soldiers). These Marines were attached to U. S. Merchant vessels. When the Muslims attacked U.S. merchant vessels they were repulsed by armed soldiers, but there is more.
The Marines followed the Muslims back to their villages and killed every man, woman, and child in the village.

It didn’t take long for the Muslims to leave U.S. Merchant vessels alone.

English and French merchant vessels started running up our flag when entering the Mediterranean to secure safe travel.

Why the Marine Hymn contains the verse, “To the Shores of Tripoli “.

This is very interesting and a must read piece of our history. It points out where we may be heading.

Most Americans are unaware of the fact that over two hundred years ago the United States had declared war on Islam, and Thomas Jefferson led the charge!

At the height of the 18th century, Muslim pirates (the “Barbary Pirates”) were the terror of the Mediterranean and a large area of the North Atlantic .

They attacked every ship in sight, and held the crews for exorbitant ransoms. Those taken hostage were subjected to barbaric treatment and wrote heart-breaking letters home, begging their governments and families to pay whatever their Mohammedan captors demanded.

These extortionists of the high seas represented the North African Islamic nations of Tripoli, Tunis , Morocco , and Algiers – collectively referred to as the Barbary Coast – and presented a dangerous and unprovoked threat to the new American Republic .

Before the Revolutionary War, U.S. merchant ships had been under the protection of Great Britain . When the U.S. declared its independence and entered into war, the ships of the United States were protected by France.

However, once the war was won, America had to protect its own fleets.

Thus, the birth of the U.S. Navy. Beginning in 1784, 17 years before he would become president, Thomas Jefferson became America’s Minister to France. That same year, the U.S. Congress sought to appease its Muslim adversaries by following in the footsteps of European nations who paid bribes to the Barbary States rather than engaging them in war.

In July of 1785, Algerian pirates captured American ships, and the Dye of Algiers demanded an unheard-of ransom of $60,000. It was a plain and simple case of extortion, and Thomas Jefferson was vehemently opposed to any further payments.

Instead, he proposed to Congress the formation of a coalition of allied nations who together could force the Islamic states into peace. A disinterested Congress decided to pay the ransom.

In 1786, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams met with Tripoli’s ambassador to Great Britain to ask by what right his nation attacked American ships and enslaved American citizens, and why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.

The two future presidents reported that Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja had answered that Islam “was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran that all nations who would not acknowledge their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.”

Despite this stunning admission of premeditated violence on non-Muslim nations, as well as the objections of many notable American leaders, including George Washington, who warned that caving in was both wrong and would only further embolden the enemy, for the following fifteen years, the American government paid the Muslims millions of dollars for the safe passage of American ships or the return of American hostages.

The payments in ransom and tribute amounted to over 20 percent of the United States government annual revenues in 1800.

Jefferson was disgusted. Shortly after his being sworn in as the third President of the United States in 1801, the Pasha of Tripoli sent him a note demanding the immediate payment of $225,000 plus $25,000 a year for every year forthcoming.

That changed everything.

Jefferson let the Pasha know, in no uncertain terms, what he could do with his demand. The Pasha responded by cutting down the flagpole at the American consulate and declared war on the United States.

Tunis, Morocco, and Algiers immediately followed suit.

Jefferson, until now, had been against America raising a naval force for anything beyond coastal defense, but, having watched his nation be cowed by Islamic thuggery for long enough, decided that it was finally time to meet force with force.

He dispatched a squadron of frigates to the Mediterranean and taught the Muslim nations of the Barbary Coast a lesson he hoped they would never forget. Congress authorized Jefferson to empower U.S. ships to seize all vessels and goods of the Pasha of Tripoli and to “cause to be done all other acts of precaution or hostility as the state of war would justify”.

When Algiers and Tunis, who were both accustomed to American cowardice and acquiescence, saw the newly independent United States had both the will and the right to strike back, they quickly abandoned their allegiance to Tripoli.

The war with Tripoli lasted for four more years, and raged up again in 1815. The bravery of the U.S. Marine Corps in these wars led to the line “to the shores of Tripoli” in the Marine Hymn, and they would forever be known as “leathernecks” for the leather collars of their uniforms, designed to prevent their heads from being cut off by the Muslim scimitars when boarding enemy ships.

Islam, and what its Barbary followers justified doing in the name of their prophet and their god, disturbed Jefferson quite deeply.

America had a tradition of religious tolerance. In fact Jefferson, himself, had co-authored the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom, but fundamentalist Islam was like no other religion the world had ever seen.

A religion based on supremacy, whose holy book not only condoned but mandated violence against unbelievers, was unacceptable to him.

His greatest fear was that someday this brand of Islam would return and pose an even greater threat to the United States .

This should concern every American. That Muslims have brought about women-only classes and swimming times in America at taxpayer-funded universities and public pools; that Christians, Jews, and Hindus have been banned from serving on juries where Muslim defendants are being judged; Piggy banks and Porky Pig tissue dispensers have been banned from workplaces because they offend Islamist sensibilities; ice cream has been discontinued at certain Burger King locations because the picture on the wrapper looks similar to the Arabic script for Allah; public schools are pulling pork from their menus; on and on and on and on..

It’s death by a thousand cuts, or inch-by-inch as some refer to it, and most Americans have no idea that this battle is being waged every day across America. By not fighting back, by allowing groups to obfuscate what is really happening, and not insisting that the Islamists adapt to our culture, the United States is cutting its own throat with a politically correct knife, and helping to further the Islamists’ agenda.

Sadly, it appears that today America’s leaders would rather be politically correct than victorious!

IF YOU DO NOT REMEMBER THE PAST, YOU ARE DOOMED TO REPEAT IT.
